On the 19th of June, at the 2025 Salon international de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace #ParisAirShow, in the Paris Space Hub at the ESA Booth, Victor Maier, Lead Germany and Central Europe Business at The Exploration Company, miguel angel molina cobos, Chairman Space Council at GMV participated to the signing event for the Statement for a Responsible Space Sector. Representatives of three other companies (James Pearson, Director CAVU AEROSPACE UK, Frederik Johanson, Partner at REACHLaw - Your Partner in Chemical Regulatory Compliance and Sustainability and Sylvester K., CEO at OrbiSky (UKSA Leo '24)) though not present, signed it remotely from different locations. As the #spacesector continues its exponential growth - with thousands of satellites to be launched in the coming years - our collective challenge is clear: ensure this expansion is #sustainable, #inclusive, and #responsible. This Statement is more than a declaration, it's a #commitment. A shared vision that space must support sustainable development on Earth and protect the long-term safety and security of outer space. Josef Aschbacher, Director General at European Space Agency - ESA, Andrea Vena, Chief Sustainability Officer at European Space Agency - ESA, and Luise Clemens, Strategy Planning Analyst at European Space Agency - ESA, proudly welcomed the new signatories - marking a major milestone as the community now surpasses 100 signatories! These organisations now join a collaborative effort to embed sustainability into space operations, contribute to working groups, and help implement the guiding principles of the Statement. One of the powerful takeaways came from Andrea Vena, who emphasised that we must go beyond #Europe, as space has no borders – and #collaboration is key to act sustainably. Let’s continue working #together to ensure that the future of #space is #responsible, #sustainable, and for the #benefit of all. #SalonDuBourget
